My Favourite Poetries !! How I wish I had written them !! Wishful thinking !!

The Road Less Travelled
By Robert Frost
Two roads diverged in a yellow wood
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth
Then took the other as just as fair
And having perhaps the better claim
Because it was grassy and wanted wear
Though as for that, the passing there
Had worn them really about the same
And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black
Oh, I kept the first for another day!
Yet, knowing how way leads onto way
I doubted if I should ever come back
I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence
Two roads diverged in a wood
And I took the one less traveled by
And that has made all the difference!

Why does Robert Frost’s famous poem find a special mention in my meditative spit?

All of Robert Frost's poems can be found in this exceptional book, The Collected Poems.

"The Road Not Taken" is my favourite poem . This timeless classic has stayed my favourite through all my phases of life ! : This traveller faced with an important conscious decision, chose the least popular road, the path of most resistance. He was destined to go down one, sad at not being able to take both, sacrificed the popular one for the other not taken quite often .

Ultimately, the brilliant poet leaves the readers to make up their own mind about the emotional state of the traveller at the end. Was the choice of the road less travelled a fruitful one? It certainly made "all the difference," but Frost does not make it clear just what this difference is and leaves the readers speculating -to each his or her own ❤️

On My Volcano Grows the Grass
By Emily Dickinson

On my volcano grows the grass,
A meditative spot,
An area for a bird to choose
Would be the general thought.

How red the fire reeks below,
How insecure the sod—
Did I disclose, would populate
With awe my solitude !

Why does Emily Dickinson’s  poem find a special mention in my meditativespot?
This photograph is a throwback  from my first Kashmir trip .

Looking at the lush green, neatly pruned green valley , I thought , it was an area birds would easily choose ! I dwell in possibilities is what Dickinson would say !

Painstakingly Sensitive , Comfortably Numb

My photo
I am what I am! A claim to perfection I have not. Perfect I don't want to be. I, like you.....am human. Prone to make mistakes. Failure is not a character flaw, Just a part of the human makeup. I live, I laugh , I also learn. I am groping all the time, In waking hours as well in slumber. I have a long road to travel... Accept me as I am because I am ....me. No one like me in the world. That is my only guarantee!!
