Metaphysical Causes of Cancer | The Art of Healing

Metaphysical  Causes of Cancer | The Art of Healing | Luna Bose Roy

When my dear grandmother developed Cancer , way back in 2000, I was anxious to discover the metaphysical cause of the disease. I could not accept the fact that my brave , kind and compassionate grandmother could develop the lethal disease.
I have taken interest  in psychology and metaphysical aspects of diseases ever  since my childhood  days. I have always believed that disease manifests at an energetic or emotional level first and then at a physical level.I believe , In a Universe where the Conservation of energy holds true , energy is the centre of creation .

While at University, I got  interested in the work of Louise Hay, an expert on the metaphysical causes of disease .

She states in her book “You Can Heal Your Life“, Cancer is often a product of unresolved fears or traumas.

Cancer according to Louise Hay is often caused by “Deep hurt, long-standing resentment, deeply held secret or grief eating away the self.”

Louise herself had developed cancer and correlated the spiritual and emotional cause to the childhood abuse that she had never worked through in her adult life . It was only once she had worked through the deep-seated emotions pent inside her that she was able to fully eradicate Cancer  from her body.

There are countless stories .

I have always dug deep  for the emotional and energetic causes whenever the disease has come back to haunt someone in my circle of family and friends over  the last two decades.

In 2016 when my deeply religious   mother  was diagnosed with a rare form of Ovarian Cancer for the first time , I was deeply stirred . I delved deep into the metaphysical causes yet again. I lost one of my good friends to Cervical Cancer in 2017 . The relapse of my mother’s Cancer in 2018 has made me contemplate deeply and research further .Since then I have met many Cancer survivors and listened to their bold stories of private victory . I have met many more still fighting back memories of their loved ones.

Conventional medical wisdom tells us Cancer occurs due to environmental factors such as chemicals, toxins, tobacco ,sunlight, or genetic predisposition, and these  seem to be true. While the research progresses , I do see common patterns on a metaphysical level .Cancer is not just a physical disease. It is a disease of the mind and soul as much as it is of the body. Cancer is a part of cell that has forgotten who it is.

Everything seems  fine on the surface, but the body may be reminding that it is necessary to process and release the negative energy before the body can be truly healthy.

The healing process of Cancer opens up when the patient looks inside self and discovers the root cause of the  illness. Then begins the journey to recuperate  the mind, body, and spirit. Indeed, uncovering and addressing the truths that have been buried in the depleted body can even help traditional medical treatments work better.

People surviving Cancer  have often tapped into their spiritual side when battling the illness. While spirituality can play a crucial role in healing , research has shown spirituality coupled with proper medical treatment plays a pivotal role in dealing with the disease better and faster .

As Eleanor Roosevelt said , “you gain strength, courage and confidence by every experience in which you really stop to look fear in the face”. Spirituality helps face Cancer with positive attitude ,faith ,love, self-care and courage .

On a spiritual side ,Cancer occurs in advanced souls who have come to heal . Often it is through their own  journey with the disease , healing can happen at a spiritual, emotional and even physical level. It can also occur directly or indirectly.Cancer can also occur when a healer needs to be reminded of their gifts. Often through their journey with Cancer ,they are reunited with their healing abilities. This can happen at both a conscious and subconscious level.
Cancer does not always have to be linked to an individual trauma, rather it can indicate a deep healing that involves an entire soul group. When someone develops Cancer , it acts as an awakening and healing process for other members of the same soul group.
The soul can heal by freeing the emotional buildup .While everyones  journey with Cancer  is different  and stirs different emotions ,the Cancer  survivor is an advanced soul reminded of its healing abilities to help self during its own journey and then it returns to heal others. God bless the soul .

Embrace. Release . Heal .

MOVIE REVIEW | REMEMBERING PHILADELPHIA .. No one would take on his case... until one man was willing to take on the system....

Sometimes I think that I know

What love's all about

And when I see the light

I know I'll be all right.

I've got my friends in the world,

I had my friends

When we were boys and girls

And the secrets came unfurled.

City of brotherly love

Place I call home

Don't turn your back on me

I don't want to be alone

Love lasts forever.

Someone is talking to me,

Calling my name

Tell me I'm not to blame

I won't be ashamed of love.

Philadelphia,

City of brotherly love.

Brotherly love.

Sometimes I think that I know

What love's all about

And when I see the light

I know I'll be all right.

Philadelphia

Philadelphia is an Academy Award-winning 1993 drama film revolving around the HIV/AIDS epidemic, written by Ron Nyswaner and directed by Jonathan Demme. It stars Tom Hanks, Denzel Washington, Antonio Banderas. It was partly inspired by the story of Geoffrey Bowers, an attorney who in 1987 sued the law firm Baker & McKenzie for unfair dismissal in one of the first AIDS discrimination cases.Andrew Beckett (Hanks) is a University of Pennsylvania graduate who works for the largest corporate law firm in Philadelphia. Andy is successful, easy-going, secretly gay, and an AIDS patient. Because his boss Jason Wheeler (Robards) has a strong prejudice against gay people, he hides the truth about his sexuality along with his life partner, Miguel Alvarez (Banderas) from the members of the firm. Though not a full partner in the firm, his legal performance is exceptional, and he is promoted to the post of Senior Associate (one step beneath full partnership) and he is assigned the most important case the firm has taken on.His condition has reached the stage when he has developed Kaposi's Sarcoma, a form of cancer marked by multiple tumors on the lymph nodes and skin. He has been using make-up to cover the lesions, but a member of the firm notices one that has appeared on his forehead. On the last day that they can file the papers in the case he has been assigned, he has finished the necessary forms for the case to be submitted. Leaving the paperwork on his desk in plain sight, he informs the clerk about it, instructing him to file them with the court, and he leaves. An hour later, the clerk phones him asking where the papers are — they are not on his desk. Additionally, all of the copies on his computer's hard drive have been erased. His work had been sabotaged and he is promptly fired from the law firm the next day.Andrew tries to hire a lawyer to take his case and sue the firm for illegal dismissal, lost earnings, and punitive damages, but nobody will take an AIDS patient as a client. One of the attorneys he attempts to hire is Joe Miller (Washington), a family man and injury lawyer against whom he had argued in an earlier case and who is secretly homophobic himself. Reluctant to take Andrew's case at first, and flaunting his fears and prejudices with his doctor and his wife, Joe changes gratifyingly during the course of the story.Ultimately, Andrew is compelled to act as his own attorney. They encounter each other again at the Philadelphia Library where he has been doing research; people in the room are leaving the immediate area when they see him and one librarian attempts to persuade him to move to a private room. Miller is disgusted with the behavior he is witnessing — behavior he was guilty of when earlier discussing the homosexual lifestyle with his wife — and, after going over some of the material Andrew had already prepared, decides to take the case. After Miller gives the firm a summons during a basketball game, they discuss wanting to find out if Beckett is a member of any LGBT rights groups and frequents gay bars. Both gain great trust and respect for each other as they fight a David v. Goliath case, much to the shock, admiration, and, for some, disgust of the population. Joe must show that Andrew is a good man, not a threat, and that his boss fired him under fraudulent pretenses as he begins to realize that gay and bisexual people are still human beings with feelings. As the case goes before the court, the partners of the firm take the stand one-by-one, and commit open perjury — smearing Andrew's name, claiming he was incompetent, and deliberately tried to hide his condition and sexual orientation. Andrew had planned to tell his employers about his homosexuality, however, after hearing his coworkers and the firm's head lawyer, Charles Wheeler, tell a homophobic joke in their athletic club's sauna, abandoned the idea.Andrew has a blackout in court and dies soon after. Andrew does, however, succeed in court and the jury orders the firm to make a large payout, consisting of $140,000 in back pay, $100,000 for pain and suffering and four million dollars in punitive damages.

The film is suffused with haunting music, with operatic arias used in several places and Neil Young's title song floating gently through its final scene. A stirring montage of Philadelphia street life, accompanied by a melancholically lilting Bruce Springsteen song, offers a resounding sense of vitality. The songs breathe both hope and frustration into the promise of brotherly love.

Philadelphia" rises above its bearable flaws to convey the full urgency of a sensitive subject, and to bring that subject home without being overtly maudlin.Tom Hanks's transformation from robust lawyer to visibly suffering AIDS patient cannot be forgotten in a hurry..

I was bruised and battered and I couldnt tell

What I felt

I was unrecognizable to myself

I saw my reflection in a window I didn't know

My own face

Oh brother are you gonna leave me

Wastin´away

On the streets of Philadelphia

I walked the avenue till my legs felt like stone

I heard the voices of friends vanished and gone

At night I could hear the blood in my veins

Black and whispering as the rain

On the streets of Philadelphia

Aint no angel gonna greet me

Its just you and I my friend

My clothes don't fit me no more

I walked a thousand miles

Just to slip the skin

The night has fallen,

Im lyinawake

I can feel myself fading away

So receive me brother with your faithless kiss

Or will we leave each other alone like this

On the streets of Philadelphia...

Still Few of My Favourite Things..............

Raindrops on roses and whiskers on kittens...
These are a few of my favorite things!

...Wild geese that fly with the moon on their wings
These are a few of my favorite things

...Silver white winters that melt into Springs
These are a few of my favorite things

...When I'm feeling sad
I simply remember my favorite things ...
And then I don't feel so bad.

Thanks to the awesome Julie Andrews for rendering timeless
expression of free spirit to the soulful lyrics of Oscar Hammerstein... !
Truly evergreen , my favourite film !

My Favourite Poetries !! How I wish I had written them !! Wishful thinking !!

The Road Less Travelled
By Robert Frost
Two roads diverged in a yellow wood
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth
Then took the other as just as fair
And having perhaps the better claim
Because it was grassy and wanted wear
Though as for that, the passing there
Had worn them really about the same
And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black
Oh, I kept the first for another day!
Yet, knowing how way leads onto way
I doubted if I should ever come back
I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence
Two roads diverged in a wood
And I took the one less traveled by
And that has made all the difference!

Why does Robert Frost’s famous poem find a special mention in my meditative spit?

All of Robert Frost's poems can be found in this exceptional book, The Collected Poems.

"The Road Not Taken" is my favourite poem . This timeless classic has stayed my favourite through all my phases of life ! : This traveller faced with an important conscious decision, chose the least popular road, the path of most resistance. He was destined to go down one, sad at not being able to take both, sacrificed the popular one for the other not taken quite often .

Ultimately, the brilliant poet leaves the readers to make up their own mind about the emotional state of the traveller at the end. Was the choice of the road less travelled a fruitful one? It certainly made "all the difference," but Frost does not make it clear just what this difference is and leaves the readers speculating -to each his or her own ❤️

On My Volcano Grows the Grass
By Emily Dickinson

On my volcano grows the grass,
A meditative spot,
An area for a bird to choose
Would be the general thought.

How red the fire reeks below,
How insecure the sod—
Did I disclose, would populate
With awe my solitude !

Why does Emily Dickinson’s  poem find a special mention in my meditativespot?
This photograph is a throwback  from my first Kashmir trip .

Looking at the lush green, neatly pruned green valley , I thought , it was an area birds would easily choose ! I dwell in possibilities is what Dickinson would say !

Painstakingly Sensitive , Comfortably Numb

My photo
I am what I am! A claim to perfection I have not. Perfect I don't want to be. I, like you.....am human. Prone to make mistakes. Failure is not a character flaw, Just a part of the human makeup. I live, I laugh , I also learn. I am groping all the time, In waking hours as well in slumber. I have a long road to travel... Accept me as I am because I am ....me. No one like me in the world. That is my only guarantee!!
